EGFR Resisters is a fantastic global community for patients, survivors, and caregivers affected by EGFR-positive lung cancer. This summer, the organization is hosting its second Patient & Caregiver Summit, which helps people stay informed on new research, connect with others, and keep pushing for better treatments and, hopefully, a cure. I'm hoping to raise money for the Summit and the organization's overall mission.
In case you didn’t know, I was diagnosed with stage 4 EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Like many people with this diagnosis, I’m a healthy non-smoker.
Since the summer of 2024, it’s been a lot—brain surgery, chemo, lung surgery, a daily targeted therapy pill, and all the fun side effects. The good news is that as of my last scan, I’m NED (no evidence of disease), which I’m incredibly grateful for. I’m hoping it stays that way for a very long time!
I get scans every four months, so life has become about making the most of the time in between—and dealing with the scanxiety that comes with waiting for results.
If you’re able to donate, I’d really appreciate it. Every bit truly makes a difference.
Thank you so very much for your support! I promise to continue my fight!
XO, Lauren
